Welcome to Resurrection Catholic School!
The Transition Team is working very hard to help bring our two schools together. One of our largest tasks has been to select the best name for the new school. As you know, we asked for your help...and we received over 250 suggestions.
Our name is very important because it will be our new identity. The Transition Team looked at all of the suggestions and really discussed which would be the best choice. As you can imagine it was not easy!
We want a name that signifies the two schools coming together, a name that symbolizes the new life of our new school. We want a name that looks to the future.
We have found such a name.
Bishop Galante approved our name ~ Resurrection Catholic School.
The Resurrection of Jesus on Easter Sunday is the basis of our faith. The fact that Jesus was able to rise from the dead proves to us that he is God. Because of the Resurrection, Jesus was able to lead his people to a stronger more vibrant faith in God – a God who is always there to love us and to help us, a God who wants the best for us. Jesus will lead our school in the same way to a brighter future. Resurrection Catholic will be a place where children can learn and grow. They will be nurtured and loved while they are being challenged to be the best that they can be.
To our eighth graders, you will be the last graduating class of Queen of Heaven and St. Peter Celestine Schools. We want you to know that you will be welcomed here as alumni.
To our Seventh Graders, you will be the first graduates of Resurrection Catholic School. Next year will be an exciting time for you.
And to all of us ~ Welcome to Resurrection Catholic School.
Peace,
Camille Forrest, Principal
